This form allows the user to select/define blind levels and times for a Texas HoldEm poker tournament. It will display a real time clock showing the current blinds and time remaining at the current level. It has been designed for amateur events in North Texas run by the WPT League. Load Configuration is used to choose the desired blind levels before the tournament starts. There are four session sessions to choose from: APL_Dual_Short starting with 15 minute blinds (but shorter after the first break), APL_Dual_Long also starting with 15 minute blinds (but lasting to level 8), and APL_Single starting with 20 minute blinds. Timer_Testing is provided with very short blinds specifically for quickly testing and practicing a pseudo session scenario. The session can be started with the Start Tournament button. Or you can use the Countdown TOD button and the Start TOD list box to start the session at the next hour on the clock or a selected start time. In this case the tournament will start with the countdown timer paused.


The End Tournament button will simply stop the clocks and display a message that the tournament has ended. Use Reset Tournament to set everything back to the beginning of a new tournament.


The Previous Level and Next Level buttons will manually go back or advance the current level. Go To Level is a list box that allows selection of a specific level. These also pause the countdown clock. These may be useful if the tournament has been interrupted or the clock needs to be restarted at a specific level due to a computer or other error.


Pop Up Window will open a second status display area in a new window. The status display area shows the current time of day, the time remaining on the countdown clock, the current blinds, the next blinds, and tournament messages as appropriate. The purpose of a second window is for when there is a second monitor or TV screen available. If the computer display has been set for extended display mode, this second window may be dragged to this second monitor. This is very useful if this second monitor can be seen from most or all the player tables. This new window open as a new tab under some browsers. Simply use your mouse to drag this to a new window that can then be moved to the extended display monitor.

The Enable ♪ check box allows audio to play at specific tournament events such as near the end of the current blind level. Turning this off will also stop any sounds currently playing. The Test ♪ button will play a short confirmation sound. The Intro ♪ button will play the WPT introduction music theme. It is one way to announce seating for the tournament start.


The Parse Custom Blinds and Browse buttons are used to load a (local) comma delimited text file defining custom designed blind levels for a special event. A sample file that may be used as a template is available here.


The Tournament Messages text box displays status messages based on tournament events. It may also be used by the tournament director for special messages.

The Set Clock text box allows the tournament director to enter a countdown time (in minutes) if it is deemed necessary to change the time remaining at the current blind level for some reason. This will pause the clock.


The Adjust Levels text box allows the tournament director to alter (plus or minus minutes) the time for each of the remaining levels. This may be useful when a tournament is running later than expected.

The Pause button will pause the clock; then it becomes a Resume button. It is colored to highlight it for quick access.
